Iranian VP for family affairs: Elites’ capabilities must be used to advance goals
The Iranian vice president for women and family affairs has said the administration of President Masoud Pezeshkian believes decision-making cannot occur behind closed doors or at desks alone.

Zahra Behrouz Azar added that using the capabilities of elites, universities, and open dialogue is essential for achieving all goals.
According to the National Elites Foundation, Behrouz Azar noted that efforts are underway to implement Articles 79, 80, and 81 of Iran’s Seventh Development Plan, which aims to boost women's job skills by 25%.
Behrouz Azar also spoke about challenges in childcare services, saying the government has succeeded in mandating support for mothers, such as covering daycare costs or allocating spaces in buildings for childcare centers.
Meanwhile, she referred to cooperation with the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Trade to establish incentives for family-oriented jobs.
The vice president said a task force has been formed to explore support for family-based businesses in industrial zones.
